How do I apply a screen protector from ScreenProTech?
Here are the steps to apply a screen protector from ScreenProTech:
- Cool down the vehicle and make sure screens are cool to the touch.
- Park the vehicle out of direct sunlight.
- Fill the application bottle with warm water.
- Spray the surface and wipe it with the supplied cloth.
- Spray the surface again and use the squeegee to remove dust particles.
- Lift the edge of the film to be installed, spray the edge, and separate the film from the backing.
- Saturate the front and back of the film with the solution.
- Adjust and align the film softly with fingertips to center on the screen.
- Squeegee from the center of the film to the right and left, working up and then down the film.
- Mist the top of the film again to help the squeegee slide.
- Wait for the film to cure. Moisture bubbles and haziness are normal and will dissipate on their own within 5-30 days.
Remember, more solution makes it easier to set the film properly and to squeegee. Work slowly and meticulously for the best results. If there is dust or excessive remaining bubbles, gently lift the film and spray until the film is lifted past the dust/bubbles. Then, re-lay down the film, re-mist, and squeegee from the inner-most lifted part outwards. For kits with buttons or small pieces, install everything else first, then fill the bottle with plain water for better tacking. Use extra care when squeegeeing out extra moisture to help minimize touch-sensitivity. If the film is brought to the same temperature as the vehicle (70 degrees), it will be more flexible and can lay down over more curved areas better. Lastly, avoid letting the vehicle heat up for the first 24 hours after installation. If it must be parked outside, crack the windows to let excess heat out. After 24 hours, the film should be mostly cured and any remaining haziness will diminish within a few days. That's when you can take the good pictures.
